Today I woke up around 5:45 AM and read emails on my BB before trying to go back to sleep. I finally got out of bed at 6:15 and put on my workout clothes and sunglasses. I went for a 5.5 mile run outside and the weather was glorious! I ran from my house, through Jackson Park, to Hyde Park and back. I could tell President Obama was still in town because there was a helicopter circling overhead in Hyde Park. I came home, stretched, showered, ate a bowl of oatmeal, and read some more emails. I worked on my July invoice until about noon. I get paid monthly and it needs to be in before the 7th, so I can pay myself by the 15th. Sometimes I'm good about doing it daily, but I ALWAYS have to play catch up at the end of the month. By this time I had a inbox full of work emails and issues on my plate. Before I started work, I asked Pretty on Paper to spec out a laptop for me because mine has officially died. He gets paid big bucks to do it for a living, so I figured he could help a sister out.

I spent most of the day working on two projects for my client and unfortunately today was super frustrating and nothing was crossed off my list. All and all, this has been a hard week because I was often in meetings helping to prepare a software integration proposal. If the proposal is accepted, I will go to LA (Santa Monica) for a meeting to discuss requirements. If that goes well, there is also a possibility that I'll be going to LA 4 days a week for 3 months. That has a 50/50 chance of happening, but I'm kinda excited at the prospect of doing some travel for work. My work day ended with a hour long meeting that wrapped up around 7:15 PM. I don't like working that late, but my client is in LA and I have to work around their schedule.

After that I got dressed for dinner and a movie. I'm now going to grab some Ghanaian food and to watch Salt. Hopefully it's as good as Inception!
