Lately my dreams have been about making a career change and becoming a lifestyle consultant. I like being a software consultant, but it's not my passion. I LOVE to shop, research trends, and put together looks for myself, other people and interiors. I also want to have more interaction with people in my day to day job. I dream about going shopping and pulling clothes for clients, helping them plan events, and just making their lives match the life they dream about.

Another thing I dream about is doing more public speaking. I'm not sure why I dream about this, because I don't usually like the spotlight on me. A friend of mine is helping to plan the NSBE convention in St. Louis next year and she asked me to submit a proposal for an entrepreneur workshop. I just need to come up with a simple abstract, and based on that, they will decide which workshops will be presented. I love to talk to people about working for yourself, but most people just smile and tell me they could never do it. It's not for everyone, but for those who want to do it, why not try. Hopefully I can change someone's mind who thinks that they HAVE to work for someone all their life.
