Feathers, Leopard Print, and Camouflage

by - August 25, 2010

I mentioned in my other post that I wanted to buy a trench to make the transition from summer to fall easier, but you know that isn't the only thing I'm craving. Lately I've been buying a lot of classic pieces and then I sprinkle in a few trends. In the spring I was all about the white blazer and electric blue accent pieces. Now I'm lusting for all things feathered, leopard or camouflage. You already know that my style is a bit extra, so just bear with me as I explain.

First up is the camouflage or army inspired. Now I'll be the first to tell you that olive green doesn't exist in my wardrobe, but these two items could really change that. I'd love this jacket to layer over tanks. It's not too camouflage that I look like a fashion victim, but it's enough so that you know what direction I'm going. Roger That! Followed up by the 2008 Murakami Camouflage (aka Monoflage) Speedy 35. Getting this is a pipe dream, but maybe I'll find one at a consignment shop someday. I hated it when it came out and now I'm obsessed with it. I'm turning this one over to God.

Onto the feathers! I'm desperately seeking a feather skirt, but every time I find one I like, it's sold out. This picture is exactly how I plan to rock mine once it's in possession. If it gets too cold to wear it with heels, I'll pair it with my over the knee boots and a cropped tuxedo jacket.

Finally, I need a leopard print vest in my life. I want it to be a little longer than the one in this picture, but you get the idea. Pair that with black jeggings, a big belt, and some cute heels or boots and I'm a happy girl.

I love coming up with my shopping plan! Although I love spring/summer better, I must admit that the shopping selection is always much better in the fall. I just hope that the weather waits until October to get cold.
