I have been casually looking for a dress for the Chicago Urban League's Golden Fellowship Dinner and after party for about a month. Usually I am in a tizzy searching hight and low, but I had resigned myself to NOT going because they weren't giving any free tickets to the dinner.  The tickets are $750 and that is not in my meager budget. Recently I got an email saying that they needed volunteers so I signed up. Now I slightly pressed to find a cocktail dress and shoes.  You already know that I am obsessed with wearing a Herve Leger dress. Well, when a friend mentioned that the new dress rental place carried them, I went to check it out.  They didn't have a huge selection, but they did have my size!! The one I like the most was the Portrait-neck bandage dress. Pictures are below

Excuse the Victoria's Secret in the first picture! I did feel like it looked better in person than in these dark camera phone pictures (hopefully the camera added 10 lbs!). But I felt great in it, so I won't bitch about my bloated body right now. BTW, the dress is a navy although it may look black.

I found one other possible dress that was very cute. The picture I took of me in it doesn't show the lace detail at the bottom so the stock photo will have to do.


So those are my top two contenders.  I am still on the hunt and let you know what I decide on. The event is on Saturday, so I don't have much time.
