Internal Damage

by - November 17, 2009

On Saturday, I was riding in the car with a friend after a party in which I had been cold and distant towards everyone. He seemed frustrated with me and told me that I didn't seem like myself and I could tell it bothered him. It hurt to hear that, but what hurt more was the fact that it's true. Every since my condo was broken into, I haven't felt like myself. I have always felt safe in my home and walking the streets of every city I have lived. This single event made me afraid of even my shadow and used to consider myself a daring person. I think what I have been dealing with the most is a feeling of being alone and powerless.

I guess admitting you have a problem is the first step. When I got home that night, I had to pray about my feelings surrounding this whole situation. I survived this incident without any physical damage, but the internal damage is gonna be harder to fix.
