Playing with Hair

I am obsessed with perfecting the bantu knot-out, and I have started experimenting with ways to make it work with my natural hair.  Since bantu knots take forever to dry, I decided on Monday night to do a ponytail roller-set to stretch my hair out before I did the knots. I tried a regular roller-set but the roller wasn't keeping my roots as straight as I liked. Here is a picture of the results and the size roller I used:

As you can see, the ends of my hair are pretty straight. At this point I could have flat-ironed my roots and wore it straight and flowing. I have done that before and it works very well for people who are transitioning. At that point I took each ponytail down, misted the hair lightly with water, sealed my ends with oil and began the knots. Here is the finished product.

Since this was a dry run, I wasn't super picky about my parts. Most of the work was done with my fingers. I will take it down later today and see how the results look. If it looks like something, I will update the post.
