I found a statement necklace to go with my dress! It was a fluke actually. I went into New York & Company with a friend. I don't usually shop in there, but I decided to look at the accessories, and I saw a necklace with the colors I wanted. Although the dress photographs as blue, it's actually a purplish blue. Ironically, I found a backup at H&M but it was made of a cheaper material. I'm happy with my choice. Here are some pictures I took as I tried on the combination this morning.  Some people suggested that I go simple with the jewelry, but I think the neckline of the dress calls for a big necklace. I tried it with a small necklace and it felt like something was missing. I don't plan to wear any other jewelry. Now I just need some strappy pewter shoes. I saw some that had potential on Sunday but I'll keep looking. Hopefully this look comes together, else I may stay home. Maybe not, but I don't know what will be my backup plan.
