When I think of business casual, this outfit is what I envision but with a jacket/blazer that I can throw on when the office gets too chilly. I think it sums up my style perfectly, but I also know that it may be too flashy for my current role. I work in Information Technology with your typical computer geeks who wear everything from khakis with button-ups to jeans and t-shirts. I would stand out like a sore thumb and that isn't what I want to do during our first meeting. Although I want my clothes to express who I am, I don't want to be over the top.

I'm still planning my outfits for the kick-off meeting, but I am leaning towards a neutral shoe like this one. Other than that, I'm still brainstorming.
