Since I have sparse eyebrows, I'm obsessed with making them look thicker. As a teenager I learned how to arch my own brows and there's been no looking back ever since. I secretly crave Kim Kardashian's eyebrows, but these are the eyebrows I wake up with.

For years I've been using powder to thicken my brows, but recently I've added pencil and this tutorial has me adding concealer to the mix. She goes all out, so I just took bits and pieces from her routine.

After applying a primer to my face, I usually start by putting my foundation on first, but many people apply their concealer on first. I say do what works for you. In these pictures I forgot that I hadn't put on foundation on initially, so I put in on in the middle.

The most important step for me is defining my arch with the concealer. I don't use too much because my eyebrows are sparse, but you just need enough to create a guide to fill in your brows. I use my regular Bobbi Brown Almond under-eye concealer, and a generic concealer brush.


Some people use concealer on top of their eyebrows also, I tried that and felt like it was a bit much for my everyday look. I blend in the concealer and make sure that I apply a powder to my brows to give the pencil and powder something to hold onto. I also set my concealer with powder and then I fill in my brows with MAC's Spiked eyebrow pencil as seen seen below.


I apply the pencil using short strokes like I'm drawing. You should already have your desired shape formed with the concealer, so use the pencil to firm up the shape, add more color definition and to fill in sparse spots. Since my eyebrows are thin at the ends, this is when I draw them in.

Finally I apply Bobbi Brown Mahogany eyeshadow using MAC's 208 Angle Brow brush an short strokes. I make sure to tap the excess powder off each time I dip the brunsh into the pot and this is the result of my first coat.


Depending on how I feel, I can put on three coats of powder, but I always stop and look in the mirror to make sure I don't look like Mr. Potato Head. I had an incident as a teenager when I went crazy with the eyebrow pencil and my brother's called me out, so I try to err on the side of caution.

That's pretty much it. After this I applied eyeshadow, eyeliner and lip gloss. I fluffed out my twists and went to work.
