Giving Good Lace
I had posted previously about looking for a nice lace shirt for the fall. I was obsessed with one at American Apparel, but once I saw it in real life, I was over it. Something about it struck me as old ladyish, and it was almost $40! Luckily Target has a great long-sleeved one for half the price.
In these pictures I paired it with a black tank, gray tweed skirt (also from Target) and a pair of shooties. Target has some cute layers right now and each time I go back I want to buy something else. The top and leggings from my previous hair update were also from there. I plan to wear this outfit to church with some sexy black pumps and my black trench coat. I like the shirt because it can be worn alone or as a layer. I go hard for dresses, but the Chicago winter requires me to wear separates and layers. Speaking of dresses, I am so happy that lace is back so I can trot this one out of retirement. This dress is about 8 years old, but I still love it! It's short and sexy and the bell sleeves make me smile. In the past I've worn it with nude stilettos, but I think pairing it with boots will work better for the cold.
Now I just need to find someplace to wear it...
